Die Hauptrolle in dem Theaterstück Hexenjagd ist ziemlich begehrt. Als die labile Abigail den Zuschlag bekommt, ist ihre Konkurrentin Melissa dementsprechend sauer. Sie nutzt jede Gelegenheit, um das Blatt vielleicht doch noch zu ihren Gunsten zu wenden. Dass Abigail komplett in ihrer Rolle aufgeht, spielt ihr ebenso in die Hände, wie die unklaren Absichten des für die Aufführung verantwortlichen Lehrers Jeremy Woods.
